Hotel Chelsea
The "Hotel Chelsea" was the old and popular building in New York. It was one of the city's first private apartment cooperative and the tallest building in New York at the time of its construction. It was located at 222 West 23rd Street, between Seventh and Eighth Avenues, in the Manhattan neighborhood of Chelsea.
Lots of different kinds of people like to live in "Hotel Chelsea", such as musicians, literary artists, actors, writers, film directors and Visual artists, etc. They thought it was very comfortable and beautiful because there wasn't any room designed the same style. Every room was special. For example, Arthur C. Clarke wrote 2011: A Space Odyssey while staying at the Chelsea, and poets Allen Ginsberg, and Gregory Corso chose it as a place for philosophical and intellectual exchange. There were many notable residents living there before.
After I read this article, I wished I could live in Hotel Chelsea, too. However, it has closed for renovations in August 1, 2011. So, if I have the chance to travel to New York next time, I will visit it and take lots of photos.
